PVC stands for Polyvinyl Chloride, which is a strong and durable type of plastic commonly used for plantation shutters.
Our PVC (or Poly) shutters are:
Moisture-resistant, perfect for humid areas like bathrooms, kitchens, or laundries
Low-maintenance — easy to clean and won’t warp, crack, or fade
Insulating, helping keep rooms cooler in summer and warmer in winter
They’re a popular choice in Australia because they’re long-lasting and ideal for our climate.
Clearview vs Internal Tilt
Both are types of tilt mechanisms that control how the louvres (slats) move, but the difference is where the tilt bar is located:
Clearview Tilt:
A small, discreet aluminum rod is attached at the back of the louvres on one side (usually near the edge). When you move one louvre, they all move together. It gives a clean, modern look since the rod isn’t visible from the front.
Internal Tilt:
There’s no visible rod at all — the mechanism is built inside the side stile (the frame of the panel). You simply move any louvre by hand, and the rest move automatically. This type offers the cleanest, most seamless finish.
Our DIY EasyFit Shutters come in four classic colours, all painted with water-based, VOC-free paint for a smooth, durable finish:
Available Colours:
Arctic White (01) – a crisp, bright white
Mist White (02) – a soft, neutral white
Dove White (03) – a warm white with a hint of cream
Cream (04) – a gentle, traditional tone
These shades are designed to suit most Australian interiors and complement both modern and coastal styles.
Yes, our plantation shutters do have a hidden tilt option.
We offer Clearview and Internal tilt systems — both are designed without the traditional front tilt rod, giving your shutters a clean, modern look.
Clearview: The tilt rod is discreetly placed at the back of the panel.
Internal tilt: The mechanism is built inside the shutter frame, so there’s no visible rod at all.
Both styles are smooth, durable, and easy to use!
Yes, we can replace individual blades (louvres).
If you’re an existing customer and the damage is due to a defect, there’s no charge.
If the blade was accidentally damaged, we can still replace it, but a small charge will apply.
If you’re not a customer or your shutters were purchased elsewhere, we can still help — but we don’t recommend mixing parts, as the colour or design might not match perfectly with your existing shutters.
